Welcome to another series of 30 paintings in 30 days inspired by painter Leslie Saeta. Today's post is a plein air piece from our spot on Tims Ford Lake. Mornings are hazy and peaceful on the lake—and today was no exception. The kiss of sunlight on the shady cove gives me a sense of new beginnings and hope-filled possibilities of a new day.
Lovely! I love all the palette knife strokes.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cindy. I have learned so much from doing these 30 day challenges. Looks like you are off to a good start as well. Best of luck with your challenge!
DeleteHello Mike,
ReplyDeleteI love the colours and reflections in your painting. You have captured so much light! Love your palette knife work. Good luck with the challenge, I am also giving it a go.
Thank you, Wendy. This was the first time I got the luminescence right—as well as the haze in the background. I give credit to the new limited palette I'm working with. It forces me to think in terms of warm and cool relationships.
DeleteLove your ocean scenes. It seems that you have lots of beautiful material to work with. Best of luck with your 30.
So much serenity.... I'm going to have to go browse your gallery, I love the texture. Happy painting!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deanna. Welcome to my blog. Please look around and let me know what other pieces speak to you.
